How Hartes Waste Management collects, uses and protects your personal data.
Hartes Waste Management Ltd ("we", "us", "our") is a registered company in England and Wales. We are the data controller for personal data collected through hartes.co.uk and our services. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in compliance with UK GDPR.
When you request a quote or contact us, we collect: your name, business name, email address, phone number, postcode and details of the service you require. When you visit our website, we may collect anonymised analytics data including pages visited and time on site.
We use your personal data to: respond to your quote request, arrange and manage your waste collection service, send service-related communications, and comply with our legal obligations as a licensed waste carrier. We do not sell your data to third parties.
We process your data on the basis of: contract performance (to deliver your requested service), legitimate interests (to manage our business operations), and legal obligation (to comply with Environment Agency waste carrier requirements and HMRC obligations).
We retain customer data for 7 years in accordance with HMRC requirements. Quote enquiries from non-customers are deleted after 12 months. You may request deletion of your data at any time subject to our legal obligations.
