Yes. Under the New Simpler Recycling regulations, all businesses in England — including micro-businesses with fewer than 10 employees — must arrange separate food waste collection from 1 April 2027. Businesses that don't comply face enforcement action from their local authority.

If your bin isn't collected on your scheduled day, contact us and we'll arrange a catch-up collection within 24 hours at no extra charge.

Yes. Your food waste bin is supplied as part of your monthly contract — no hidden bin hire charges. It arrives labelled and ready to use.

Our standard rate is £42.25/month (£9.75 per lift) for weekly collection. Biffa and First Mile charge approximately £57.50/month (£13.27 per lift) for the same service — a saving of £15.25/month or £183/year per bin.

Yes. We can provide waste transfer notes and compliance certificates on request — useful for audits, council inspections and demonstrating Simpler Recycling compliance.

Yes, subject to availability. Call us in the morning and in many cases we can have a team with you the same day. Rubbish removal is priced by load — give us a description and we'll quote on the spot.

Yes. Hartes Waste Management is registered with the Environment Agency, licence number CBDU617131. All waste is disposed of legally at licensed facilities. You can verify our licence on the Environment Agency public register.

Food waste collections are billed monthly by GoCardless direct debit. Rubbish removal and clearances are charged on completion — we accept bank transfer and card.
